About
Katie is a strategic innovator seeking to drive social impact from within big business. Katie is the co-founder of motive, a social innovation consultancy (the-motive.com) that works with large companies, such as Old Navy and NYSE to position and scale their social investments. Motive was founded in 2012 in partnership with Jenifer Willig.
Previously Katie was Head of Strategy at the creative advertising agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty’s NY office, where she led the evolution of planning and strategy and ran the department day to day. While at BBH NY she led strategy on global brands such as Levi Strauss & Co, Unilever, EDS, LG and UNICEF. She also set up successful brand consultancy unit working on brand/business strategy for clients such as BBC Worldwide, Cole Haan and World Gold Council.
Prior to becoming head of strategy in New York Katie was Head of International Planning at BBH and a Global Planning Director. She led ZAG, BBH’s brand invention unit, in its early days in NY and spearheaded sustainability initiatives within the organization.
Katie has served on a number of awards juries, most recently judging Social/Pro Bono categories at the 2013 AICP Next Awards and the 4A’s Jay Chiat Awards for Strategic Excellence.
