About
Over a 20-year career, Nancy Hannon has gained complete confidence from some of the biggest brands in advertising, and in doing so, has made her one of the most sought after mentors for young women in the business.
In September 2013, Nancy joined Energy BBDO, coming on board as the only female EVP, Group Creative Director and leading the creative efforts for Quaker and Bayer Nutritionals.
Prior to joining Energy, Nancy was with The Martin Agency where she was the lead on the American Cancer Society account, leading important creative work that featured the musical talents of Faith Hill, Josh Groban, and Jennifer Hudson.
Before leading the American Cancer Society, Nancy was in charge of Walmart, where she served, once again, as the only female SVP, Group Creative Director. For three years she oversaw all aspects of advertising for the largest retailer in the world while marketing to 200 million moms. Her award-winning work played a major role in Adweek’s naming of The Martin Agency as “Agency of the Year” in 2009.
Nancy has brought her creative talents to Leo Burnett, Y&R and DDB, working on everything from Reebok and Sears to Maybelline, Kraft, Hanes, Living Social, P&G, and more. Her work has been recognized at Cannes, Clios, CA, and D&AD, and her work has been part of a permanent collection at MOMA.
