Sarah oversees cultural strategy for all sparks & honey’s clients, leading the agency’s cultural intelligence, cultural strategy and cultural innovation efforts. A fast- and slow-culture expert, DaVanzo joined sparks & honey from Publicis Kaplan Thaler, where she was Director of Trends & Culture responsible for the agency’s global trend and cultural strategy outputs. Throughout her 26 years as a leader in international marketing, she has provided marketing and strategy advice to iconic brands; in the healthcare space she has worked with Bayer, Bristol Myers Squibb, DePuy Synthes, Humana, Merck, Pfizer and Sanofi-Pasteur.
While living and working (on both the client and agency sides of the business) in over a dozen countries in Asia, Africa and Europe she honed her cultural sensitivity and strategic marketing expertise. In 2001, DaVanzo was nominated South Africa’s Business Women of the Year. She has been featured on CNBC, Radio America, in the New York Times, Fast Company, International Herald Tribune, UK’s Financial Times, South Africa’s Business Times and O: The Oprah Magazine.
