About
Lucia Grillo is the managing director of Psyop New York. She joined Psyop as a producer in 2005 and has been an integral part of the company’s growth, helping it become and remain one of the powerhouses in the business.
Lucia attended Boston College and graduated as a certified high school English teacher. Sadly, she never put her degree to use, as she moved to Atlanta to become a production manager for the ’96 Olympic Ceremonies. She eventually made her way to NYC, working at J. Walter Thompson, kicking off her advertising career. She then spent seven years at McCann Ericsson as a producer working on worldwide brands such as XBox, Inbev, Mobil, and L’Oreal.
Lured away by the glamour and excitement of the animation world, Lucia left McCann and joined Psyop. She never looked back.
And her teaching degree has not entirely gone to waste, as occasionally she uses it when correcting her directors’ grammar and incorrect word usage.
