Half Norwegian, half Mexican, Karin grew up in a multicultural household in Oslo, Norway. After studying Art and Design in Switzerland she graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, with Distinction . Having spent more than a decade as an art director/creative Director at Goodby Silverstein and Partners, she creatively ran more than $60 mill worth of business. During Karin’s tenure at GSP the agency won US Agency of the year 3 times, Digital agency of the year twice and most recently agency of the decade.
Karin currently oversees the creative of Ford Motor Company in all its European markets, and is responsible for over $500 mill in paid media spend. With people from over 33 countries scattered across 17 markets, her creative leadership is breaking down barriers – institutional and cultural – to inspire clients and team members alike to take risks and more boldly face the challenges and huge opportunities in front of them. In a very short time she has moved the needle in a number of areas, creative excellence, morale, recognition and sales.

Karin has managed and created award winning work for among others: Adobe, Chevrolet, Ford, Haagaen-Dazs, Hewlett Packard, Hyundai, Nike, and many more. Over the years she has developed a voracious passion for pursuing new business. She counts HaagenDazs, Banana Republic and Kayak.com among her wins for GSP. At WPP/Blue Hive she has grown the Ford account and is batting 1000 on new business. Karin is fluent in English, Spanish, French, Norwegian and Danish. And is capable of faking 3 more languages. She counts as a success—making herself an enemy of Bill O’Reilly.
