In 2012, at age 33, Brigid Alkema became Creative Director at one of New Zealand’s most awarded agencies. This followed a head-turning career as an Art Director in Wellington and Sydney with unparalleled successes in the realm of social marketing.

A large proportion of the briefs in New Zealand’s capital are PSAs, and Brigid and her team routinely turn them into some of the country’s most memorable, effective and awarded campaigns.

Brigid has won virtually every major international award—some several times—for her work with clients such as the New Zealand Transport Agency and the Alcohol Advisory Council of New Zealand.

In recognition of over a decade spent pushing the boundaries of what social marketing can accomplish, Campaign Brief’s ‘The Work’ ranked her one of the top creatives in Australasia in 2012. Her success is best evidenced by the groundbreaking and globally lauded ‘Ghost Chips’ campaign in 2011. In the past year, ‘Blazed’ and ‘Shopkeepers’ drug driving campaigns have forged similar paths to glory, prompting significant public discussion and behavioural change.
