About
Laura Brady is a a thought leader in the digital publishing space. She is the owner of the ebook developer company, Brady Type, where she produces ebooks for medium-large publishers across North America. She has been in the publishing industry for over 20 years, but over the past six years she has evolved her company to become digital-first. She is active in the online community (via the #eprdctn tweet-up group) and is a go-to source of help for members of the industry. Although it can't be measured, I would venture to say that her writing and contributions online direct the decisions of the largest international publishing companies, both directly and indirectly.
As an active member of the community, she was directly involved in giving Adobe feedback on InDesign revision changes for version CS6.
In addition to her own business, she is an educator and has taught students at Humber College and publishers across Canada via eBOUND Canada, a non-profit organization that educates publishers on digital strategies.
She has also spoken at multiple publishing conferences, most recently at Book Summit 2013.
This spring she is responsible for organizing the ebookcraft conference in Toronto.
