About
Having worked at MOMA as a designer on many projects including a book for Karim Rashid, Juliette
then ran her own design team which led design for ReS magazine—a globally distributed publication
on the future of digital filmmaking (with accompanying global film festival) Now Juliette leads a much
larger team at Parsons the New School for Design where she heads up the graphic design department
where many of the most famous designers in the world vie for teaching appointments. Her background
as a MA graduate of Yale and visiting professor there as well as editor of several books (Paper Pilot, Astronaut,
Captain with elaborate scored & perforated easy punch out paper models have won many awards. Also
her book for Jack Spade, Office Mayhem is wickedly brilliant. She's not formally credited as author, the publisher
had Jack Spade named for marketing purposes)
Anyway, she is thoughtful, a mother and wife to a lovely fellow who works at the New York Times on all things
blog. Not to mention, she's a great creative leader. She was one of my first clients with true international creative
clout, but far from being scary she was so fun to discuss ideas with, came in with a solid yet open framework to
play in and always is so kind and organized. I wish I lived in Brooklyn so we could hang out more.
