Kristi VandenBosch joined MXM (Meredith Xcelerated Marketing) in October 2012 and serves as Chief Digital Officer, MXM and SVP General Manager of the Los Angeles office, helping to shape a world-class consumer engagement marketing agency – combining digital, CRM, social, mobile and analytics practices, grounded in Meredith's unsurpassed expertise in content.
Prior to joining MXM, Kristi served as CEO of Publicis & Hal Riney and Publicis Modem in San Francisco for nearly 3 years, overseeing blue-clip clients including Compaq, HP, Nestle, PayPal and Walmart, among others. Her experience also includes leading a regional network for TBWA Worldwide, as U.S. President of digital agency TEQUILA\, and serving EVP, Managing Director tenures at Omnicom's Direct Partners and Draft Worldwide. She has served on the global leadership committees of TBWA and TEQUILA\, and on the Executive Board of TBWA\Chiat\Day in Los Angeles.
Her multi-faceted background has led to roles on global marketing teams for Nissan, Infiniti, Sony and Pioneer, and her category expertise ranges from automotive to packaged goods, consumer electronics to financial services, technology to fashion. Kristi is an established thought leader; she has worked with a number of universities, as well as the American Association of Advertising Agencies, on integrated marketing education programs, and is a frequent speaker on the influence of technology on culture and politics at key vertical industry conferences like J.D. Power’s Automotive Roundtable, Digital Hollywood, Internet Week NY and Ad:Tech, among others. She is also a frequent contributor to DAME magazine and Digiday, and acts as a mentor for the start-up accelerator StartEngine, providing strategic consulting to Los Angeles-based technology entrepreneurs.
She has served on the board of directors of NeoEdge, a technology company specializing in the casual gaming space, and is a member of the advisory board for Involver, which develops social networking applications for marketers on the Facebook and Google+ platforms. She also sits on the Board of Directors of the American Lung Association in California.
Kristi earned her M.B.A. from DePaul University’s Kellstadt School of Business in Chicago, and undergraduate degrees in Advertising Management from DePaul University, and Technical Illustration/Commercial Art from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan.
