As a Group Creative Director at AKQA, Shira believes that what we do must move people. It must delight and entertain, yet still be useful. "It all comes down to great stories. Delightful encounters with brands. Ideas that shift paradigms in even the smallest way." During her time at AKQA, Shira has been the creative lead on accounts such as Levis, Nike, Target, Gap and Old Navy.
In addition to providing creative vision for her accounts, Shira has spoken on many panels, including the first 3% Conference, SF Big, Ad Tech and served as one of a few creatives selected to participate in the Facebook Creative Council. Shira was also named to Business Insider’s list of "Most Creative Women in Advertising."
Throughout her career, Shira has created work that has been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, Creativity and AdWeek, in addition to many industry blogs. Her work has been recognized by Cannes, The Clio Awards, Communication Arts, London International Show, the Tomorrow Awards, The One Show, Archive Magazine, along with others.
Prior to AKQA, Shira worked at Chiat/Day, Goldberg Moser O'Neill and Citron Haligman Bedecarre. In addition, Shira freelanced for many agencies on many great brands.
