    Ritu Trivedi is Microsoft Advertising’s Head of U.S. Branding and the leader of the company’s U.S. Trade Marketing team. In this role, Ritu sets the vision for successful marketing strategies that highlight Microsoft’s key platforms and products with brand and advertising agency partners. She also supports Microsoft’s presence and client engagement at global industry events such as Advertising Week, CES, SXSW and more. Since joining Microsoft in November 2014, Ritu has driven multiple initiatives to align the technology company’s new brand messaging with the U.S. Trade Marketing team’s endeavors, inviting media agencies and advertisers to join Microsoft on a journey to learn from each other and create the most innovative and effective products for the industry. This top-down change has been a key force in driving collaboration with Microsoft’s advertising partners.

    While Ritu is new to the Microsoft Advertising team, she has been a dynamic force in the advertising and media industry, holding senior positions at established agencies such as Universal McCann Interactive, Ogilvy, OMD, DraftFCB, Mindshare, and most recently, MediaVest. Throughout her career, she has been responsible for building and managing relationships with brands such as brands such as IBM, Unilever, General Electric, Absolut, Coca-Cola, Johnson & Johnson, Merck Pharmaceuticals, Honda, Lowes, among many others.

    Ritu is passionate about creating a friendly workplace for the industry and empowering women in advertising. In 2012, she co-founded Wild Women of the Web (WWW), an invite-only senior women’s leadership group in New York which serves as a meeting place for female digital marketing veterans. Ritu has also been active on the speaker circuit discussing digital trends as well as marketing to women, with her most recent presentation at Brand Innovator’s Marketing to Women event in May 2015.

    While she finds ways to empower women proactively through events and industry groups, Ritu is also a role model for young working women, as a hard working executive and mother of two young children. She received Advertising Women of New York’s “New to Motherhood Mom” Advertising Working Mother of the Year honor in 2014, a recognition that truly reflects her aspirational qualities of giving 100% in all she does, both at work and at home.

    Ritu’s bold and never say never attitude, at a company in an industry famed for its male dominancy makes her an inspiration for employees at Microsoft and a role model for all women in the advertising industry. She is a seasoned digital marketing expert and a sought after leader in the advertising space.

    Ritu began her career in media in Bombay, India, before moving to New York to learn about the academics of advertising. She received her Master’s degree in media administration from the Newhouse School of Public Communications. Beyond digital marketing, Ritu also has experience in traditional media, the place she started her career before taking the opportunity to join the quickly growing digital media space.
